House mice are covered in short hair from very light in color to dark brown. Some but not all, have a light belly.
In cold weather, since house mice don’t hibernate, they begin searching for a warm place to live. They prefer seeds and nuts, but will eat almost anything they can find. They are move active in the evening, but it is possible to see a mouse in your home during the day. You can often see them scurrying along baseboards, or from one hiding place to another.
If you suspect mice, look for mouse droppings. The droppings are rod shaped with pointed ends which differentiates them from American cockroach droppings.
Mice are the number one rodent pest and carry diseases. Avoid direct contact with them.
